Short, fast action, and sexy all apply here. Fair story line that has to develop quickly due to short length. Kole is a very strong character and Sarah is a compliment to him. Wish it had been longer. Nico and Aylia make an appearance to tie books in series together and intro to lead for next book and it's Alpha male Shi. Vegas makes an interesting backdrop for the story. It is a good short and sexy read.
Sarah has lost so much when her family is killed. But when she avenges their deaths, she begins to find out the truth. And the mate she didn't truly realize she always knew she had.
This is a spectacular story in the sequel. As the title suggests there is a secret; and believe me it is mind blowing. Never is it even hinted at during this story. It was worth the price just to find out what the secret was. I never could have guessed it in a million years. Neither will you unless someone who has read it tells you. Shame on them if they do, because that would really be a SPOILER!!!!
It is in keeping with all the other hot, sexy shifter stories out there; but for me the surprise made it something very special. It is not often that I can't figure out well before the end what the punch line is. NOT THIS ONE, NEVER HAD A CLUE ONE.
If for no other reason than knowing the secret, I think everyone who likes this venue should buy and read it.

I Highly recommend The book Wicked Werewolf Secret! Wicked Werewolf Secret (The Werewolf Society) It is the second book in the series however it can stand on it's own as a stand-alone or you can read it in order! Either way you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! I love the fact that Lisa brings the main "sexy" man & the "beautiful" woman in the first book but they are not the focal point!! That is one thing I love about most of Lisa's series, you do not just read one book in the series and then never here about them again they are incorporated throughout the whole series!! In fact it is not just the main people that are throughout the books and I love that!! There are awesome erotic scenes as well as some great action scenes!!! I LOVE all Lisa Renee Jones books!! If you are looking for a great, fast paced paranormal page turning edge of your seat with some love making then this would be for you!!!

However, it can very well be a stand alone read and does not require reading the other to make sense. In this story, the reader is introduced to Kole and Sarah. Kole is second in line to become the alpha leader of the Royal Guard of the Werewolf Society. He is strong, protective, and just alpha. Sarah is a blackjack dealer and daughter of the family who manages the Hotel Italy in Vegas for the Werewolf Society. Sarah had just returned from school with a law degree in hopes of becoming the Werewolf Society's first female legal aid. Kole is instantly attracted to Sarah and the attraction goes both ways. In the weeks that Sarah has been back, Kole lets her know that he wants her. However, Sarah does not want to be involved with anyone from the Royal Guard and that includes Kole. Then something unfortunate happens and Sarah disappears for two years. Now she is back with a vengeance and Kole has to show her that he's not letting her get away and that they are destined to be mates.
Once again, another great story by Lisa. I waited for this one and it did not disappoint! I liked Kole and Sarah; they were well-rounded characters. I also enjoyed the sizzling sexual tension between the characters as well as the plot and storyline. I appreciate that Jones did not have the characters jumping right into bed at first sight. Kole and Sarah had a level of emotional connection first before they got under the sheets which I always appreciate. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and would highly recommend this for those looking for a sexy and short paranormal romance to occupy their time!
